Vantage

Ask one question about a company, a market or an idea. Vantage researches it and answers with a receipt for every number.

Problem

Pick a professional service that whole firms do by hand and turn it into an agent that goes from a request to finished work with no human in the loop. It had to run on Crustdata's company and people data and cite a source for every claim.

We picked research and markets. Every market decision starts with a question: who is winning, who is coming for us, is there room for me.

What we built

  • One plain-English question in. Vantage works out which companies you mean, even for ambiguous names, and finds the real competitors from four sources.
  • For each competitor it pulls headcount, hiring, funding, team movements and news from Crustdata.
  • The answer is written for whoever asks. Investors get a verdict, the company's own claims checked against the data, who backs the market and diligence questions. Operators see who is catching up, who is poaching talent and where rivals are hiring. Founders see how crowded the market is, which investors to pitch and where the opening is.
  • Live Crustdata watches, so the analysis keeps updating after the run ends.

Design choices

  • Click any number to see the exact Crustdata response behind it.
  • When the data is missing, it says unverifiable instead of filling the gap.
  • Switching persona reshapes the page without fetching again.

Result

The demo answers three real questions: whether Harvey AI is worth backing against Legora, who is coming after Linear's customers, and whether there is room for an AI note-taker for doctors in the US. The tagline we landed on: decisions, with receipts.
